Sponsors and Scholarships

The Mid-South BEDC enjoys the support of numerous sponsors. They include BHP Billiton Petroleum, Entergy, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the Arkansas Economic Developers Association, The Arkansas Chamber of Commerce Executives, AT&T, the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, SWEPCO, and others. Some of these sponsors offer scholarships for Arkansas residents to attend the Course. Similar agencies in other states may be willing to sponsor residents from those states on an ad hoc basis. (Please inquire with agencies in your state.)

Applications for Arkansas scholarships may be submitted for the Mid-South BEDC by mail, e-mail, or fax.  Please submit to the address shown on the application form. The priority deadline is January 31, 2012. Applications will be accepted after this date on a first-come-first-served basis for qualifying applicants. Completed applications require a $75 application fee, which will be invoiced at the time the scholarship award is confirmed. The fee will be used as part of the registration cost and will be refunded upon successful completion of the course. Sponsors’ requirements may vary. Please apply as soon as possible. In general, scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis, subject to the criteria of each specific sponsor.
